Abstract

Tissue culture studies on a lac host Moghania macrophylla have been studied for the first time and quite interesting results are recorded. The phytohormones, viz. IAA,IBA and NAA, in various concentrations induce root differentiation. Attempts have been made in the present investigation to find out the comparative effectiveness of the different auxins employed, out of which IAA is less effective than IBA but more effective than NAA for rooting in this host plant.
