The paper describes the insect eaten leaves of Glossopteris and Belemnopteris from Carbo-Permian times of India. The leaves show apical and marginal thick tissue (scar tissue) and also few attached rounded or elliptical coprolite of some insects. These coprolites yield translucent undigested fragments of cuticles of the respective leaves which strongly suggests that the leaves were eaten by insects and the damages are not caused by the mechanical injuries. The paper also describes the plant and insect relationships during Palaeozoic period in India.
