Abstract

In this study, emotional intelligence (EI) and self-efficacy (SE) of teachers and their relationship have been studied among Indian secondary school teachers. Data obtained by stratified randomization of 160 teachers using specific questionnaires were analysed statistically. Our observations suggested that significant relationship exists between EI and SE of Indian secondary school teachers. Self awareness, self motivation, emotional stability, commitment and managing relations showed most significant relationship with SE of Indian secondary school teachers. ANOVA results showed that EI and SE levels were not affected by age and experience of teachers.
