Abstract

The rehabilitation of compromised patients has always been a challenge for the medical world. The management of a completely edentulous patient with unilateral facial paralysis is a difficult task. This necessitates a change in conventional procedures. Facial paralysis can come on suddenly or can happen gradually over a period of months. This article describes a case of a completely edentulous patient who suffered from facial paralysis on the left side for three years. A liquid-supported denture for the maxillary arch and a neutral zone technique for the mandibular arch were planned to improve function and esthetics.
