Abstract

This article aims to find out how much influence work motivation, competency, and compensation on the performance of private teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah which are spread across the city of Cimahi, West Java province, Republic of Indonesia. The sample of teachers involved was 120 private teachers. The research approach was carried out using a mix-method, where data was obtained by conducting interviews; by distributing questionnaires; and by observing in the field. The data obtained was analyzed with the help of the SPSS system, then data triangulation was carried out and the results were presented qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that motivational factors (X1); competency factors (X2); and compensation factors (X3) which are independent variables, have a significant influence on performance factors (Y) by r² = 75.70%, while the remaining is € = 24.30% is an unobserved residual factor. This influence is a combination of direct influence and indirect influence.
